Our First Home

The Back House AKA "The Cottage" October 30, 2009 to February 1, 2010

Our property has a small back house on it which we have named "The Cottage". The cottage was in horrible shape. Termites, water damage, graffiti, cockroaches, leaky pipes, and sixty year old electrical wiring all added to the challenge of fixing our cottage up. Below are photos for the cottages original condition, some construction photos, and the final product.

The original exterior (after we covered the graffiti). Nearly all the windows and even some of the doors are missing.



The bathroom had such bad termite and water damage that I fell through the floor shortly after taking this photo.







All the walls and much of the floor had to be replaced. My dad is in the background.
