Our final stop was Banos, Ecuador. The town is beautiful and surrounded by giant green cliffs with waterfalls pouring down them. The main attraction in Banos is the hot springs, whose yellow-brown water are said to have healing powers. It was a great place to relax as well as book an extremely enjoyable white rafting tour.
We rented bikes for the day and headed to the local zoo and local aquarium. The zoo was built on any flat space they could find a cliff with cages connected by staircases and sidewalks. The animals featured there were beautiful and afforded wonderful photography opportunities.
