Puerto Viejo
Day Ten

Today we traveled to get from Tortuguero to Puerto Viajo (no small task). Here is what we did:
Boat from Tortuguero to La Pavona
Bus from La Pavona to Cariari
Second bus from Cariari to Guapiles
Third bus from Guapiles to Limon
Taxi from one bus station to the other (we only had 15 minutes to get from one
station to the other any buy a ticket from Limon to Puerto Viajo otherwise we
would have to wait three hours for the next bus. We made it with a few minutes
to spare. Our ticket was for standing room only because they had sold out of
seats. A nice man moved his stuff and he offered a seat to Shelley. After a
half hour the bus slowly emptied and I found a seat as well. We left Tortuguero
at 6 this morning and arrived at Puerto Viajo around 2:30. We dropped off our
laundry to this guy who totally ripped us off, but Shelley just wanted to be
done with it and we had clean clothes in two hours. I swam off the beach to
a coral reef and found surprisingly good snorkeling. Angelfish, wrasse, damsels,
and even barracuda. We had a nice dinner and planned to wake up early to go
snorkeling.
