Today we decided to give Puerto Galera another try (this time with my camera battery). We headed into town and went to the post office. We mailed 4 CDs (our backup vacation photos) back to the states, hopefully it makes it home. We headed to White Beach again and it was beautiful. In full sunlight it is a perfect beach, probably one of the best in the Philippines. We ate lunch at a beachside café but were relentlessly hassled by vendors. After lunch we explored the beach and went around the rocky point and found tons of mudskippers again. After some photos we headed back to the main road to hire a motor bike (called tricycles here). The walk back to the main road was a long and dehydrating one. When we finally reached the road we bought some waters and headed back to Sabang. We got back in time to do a dive at 3:00 PM. We headed out on a boat and met up with two other Americans, Duane and Brent. The dive was awesome and I accomplished one of my life goals: petting a poisonous sea snake. We found one towards the beginning of the dive and I reached out and pet his tail, very neat. This was Shelley's first non-instructional dive and she had a great time and dove like a pro. I handed the camera to her and she took underwater photos too. She may have saved me from some trouble too. I was near the bottom concentrating on some clownfish I was photographing when she grabbed me and pulled me away. As I looked up a sea snake swam right in front of my mask. It was awesome! After the dive Duane and Brent offered to let us come on the boat the hired for snorkeling at sunset. The boat took us to Coral Gardens and it was wonderful. We met up with them for a great dinner at Big La Laguna Beach.
