We woke up to our first rainy morning. So far it had only rained at night and the most discomfort it caused was a leak in the room. We also found a millipede in the shower this morning. We had to catch a fight this afternoon from Phuket to Bangkok so we had to take the morning ferry. We found some black trash bags, wrapped up our luggage and took on the rain. Our ferry ride was rough in the poor weather. The old wooden boat was visually flexing and twisting in the high swells. Shelley was scared at times, although she found comfort in hearing that the last ferry (and sister ship to the one we were on) took an hour to sink allowing enough time to evacuate. Next we took a mini van to the airport. We made it to the airport early enough to take an earlier flight. Once we landed in Bangkok we got a taxi to our hotel. We are in the middle of the shopping district and it is very exciting. Bangkok has absolutely crazy traffic but is cleaner and more organized then Manila. Now that we are in the later part of our trip we can start collecting our Asia treasures to take home. Sorry no photos today, we were on buses, boats, and planes all day.
