Today we visited the Phi Phi Islands. We were picked up at 8:00 AM and taken to the pier where we made the 1 hour speed boat ride to the islands. The islands are unbelievably beautiful. They are composed of 1000 foot jungle covered limestone cliffs coming right out of the ocean. Our tour consisted of several stops throughout the islands to snorkel and sightsee. In one cove the guide pointed out "Monkey Beach", but our boat was too large to go near shore during low tide. No problem for us, we swam. On the beach we were greeted by several dozen small monkeys. I think they were Crab Eating Monkeys. They were very cute and would come and take things from your hands. I could have got some incredible shots but my camera was still on the boat (it was a 200 yard swim or so). We ate lunch at a beautiful port and we might come back to stay on these islands and dive. Snorkeling was great here. I saw several fish I had not seen in the Philippines including barracuda.
