Kendall Roberg DJ & Sound Services
Wedding Information & Tips
Thanks again for booking your special event with us. We work hard to make your
reception both entertaining and fun for all your guests. We have put this information
sheet together to help our clients in the DJ aspect of the wedding. Remember
if you have any questions feel free to call or email me.
What we need at the DJ site:
- 1 Table with a minimum size of 2 by 4 feet (this is where I will set up
my equipment)
- 1 grounded power supply somewhere near the table (if an outlet is not within
20 feet, please provide an extension cord)
- Room for me to set up the 2 speakers (they are raised off the ground on
stands). We usually place these near the corners of the room or near the dance
floor (if there is one).
What we need for you:
- List of songs to be played for First Dance, Father/Daughter, Mother/Son,
Mexican Money Dance, etc. (please let us know the title and artist of the
song)
- List of songs to be played during the general dancing portion of the event.
This is optional, but the more songs you provide on your list, the better
we will be tuned with your specific taste in music. Some couples choose to
list just a few songs that they want included, while other couples list every
song to be played for the entire event. (plan on the average song lasting
3 minutes so you will need 20 an hour).
- Time line and order of events. This is very important and should include
a time line showing when you want each event of the wedding to take place
(dinner music, cake cutting, first dance, etc.). Include any announcements
you would like the DJ to make. Also, include any notes like "during dinner
play soft classical/traditional music" or "the best man will make
a toast at this time".
- How many microphones would you like? We have wireless or corded mics as
well as stands, just let us know what you need.
- What time can we come and set up the equipment?
- Any other special request.
Payment Information:
- For most events a 30% deposit is due at the time of booking the event.
- The remaining balance (70%) is due the day of the event during setup time
(before the event).
Tips and Suggestions (things I have learned from attending so many weddings):
- Plan your time line assuming everyone will be 20 to 30 minutes late (really)!
- Know where the garter and bouquet are and where you would like to stand
when you throw them. You will also need a chair for the bride to sit on during
the garter ceremony.
- Practice your first dance as well as your mother/son father/daughter dances.
