Anniversary & Party Information & Tips
Thanks again for booking your special event with us. We work hard to make your
party entertaining and fun for all your guests. We have put this information
sheet together to help our clients with the DJ aspect of their anniversary or
party. Remember if you have any questions feel free to call or email me.
What we need at the DJ site:
- 1 Table with a minimum size of 2 by 4 feet (this is where I will set up
my equipment)
- 1 grounded power supply somewhere near the table (if an outlet is not within
20 feet, please provide an extension cord)
- Room for me to set up the 2 speakers (they are raised off the ground on
stands). We usually place these near the corners of the room or near the dance
floor (if there is one).
What we need for you:
- Time line and order of events. This is very important and should include
a time line showing when you want each event of the party to take place (dinner
music, cake cutting, toast, etc.). Include any announcements you would like
the DJ to make. Also, include any notes like "during dinner play soft
classical/traditional music" or "their will be a toast at this time
by Jim's boss."
- How many microphones would you like? We have wireless or corded mics as
well as stands, just let us know what you need.
- What time can we come and set up the equipment?
- For 50th anniversaries or birthdays we can have a trivia section (especially
fun for 50th anniversaries). The DJ reads trivia questions about events that
took place 50 years ago (or for birthdays, during the birth year). This has
been a huge hit at the parties and anniversaries we have done it at.
- Any other special request.
Payment Information:
- For most events a 30% deposit is due at the time of booking the event.
- The remaining balance (70%) is due the day of the event during setup time
(before the event).
